Robert Gosnell, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, retired with his wife Mary, to Hot Springs Village , Arkansas in 1998. Shortly afterward they began spending the winter months in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. The freedom offered by retirement allowed Robert time to develop his interest in photography. Purchasing his first digital camera in 1998, he soon realized he could improve and enhance his photos using self-taught computer skills. The subjects Robert initially favored were flowers and landscapes, but he soon expanded his interests to include the birds, animals and scenery encountered on his travels through the byways of America. Sharing an interest in the art of photography, Robert and Mary display and sell his work at various art shows in Arkansas and in South Texas. His entries in some of these have won recognition for him as a prize-winning photographic artist. | | |
